David Kramer turned 28. Saturn returns!

And Aaron Rose is trying to become mean. He is going to need alot of practice.

Handjob?

This is when Aaron's camera stopped working. This is moments before he fired it into the air, landing with a sickening shatter on Sunset Boulevard.

Some kind of cake made of nut paste.

Some kind of nut.

Speaking of nuts, look who I founf on the couch drinking whiskey when I got home!

Jesse Spears is showing all new work tonight!

Yesterday I mastered the pumpkin pie, and more importantly, the pie crust. I don't mind patting myself on the back.

And today is 'Black Friday' so I protested by not buying anything, by not even leaving the house really. We woke up around noon and watched TCM all day. But if you must buy something today, you just can't help but consume, then let me make a suggestion - The debut 7" from Silk Flowers is available to order and there are only 300 and it is a real stunner. A self released gem from the ashes of Soiled Mattress And The Springs, just in time for Xmas.

We were the early birdies, my Family and I.

Bob let us know on this night that large functions are not really for him.

A rare sighting of my skull buddy.

Sara made a last minute sign.

Lovers?

Best friends?

The great Deborah Thornhill was there.

This weekend was the live debut of AsDSSka, which is obviously David Stone and Aska's new to do.

Lucky Dragons played next.

Thrilling to one and all, Jenna's mom even sketched them!

Nice to see good old Travis Graves.

I'm actaully baking two pies to take to Dan's house right now.

Horovitz, Hall and Thornhill. A portrait of three artists.

Corpse paint for Black Black.

And then it was time for bed.

Film.
So last night was wonderful and there will be full on reports with pictures and the usual coming soon, but first, a special message -
Someone stole Sara from Sumi/Lucky Dragons bag. Her sketchbook and phone was found in the trash and whoever stole it used her credit card at Pinkberry last night. WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT YOU ARE THIEF GUY. And you are a guy, a male, and you were seen by a number of people. Stealing is a total unexcusable coward move, you were seen and will be seen again. You might want to consider dropping the bag off at 1520 Cahuenga because chances are that we will know your name and number by tonight. BRING THE BAG BACK.

From 6 - 9 pm. 1520 Cahuenga. You know the deal.

The show is hung and ready for your enjoyment. Sunday, 6 - 9.

Last night we started hanging the Black & White show.

And you know, trying to lay everything out and figure where it will all go is one of the funnest ways to bake your brain case I know of.

Hey Kramer, kick your shoes off and get comfortable.

There is a SHIT TON of amazing artworks in this room.

Bobby and Spears offered moral support.

Yesterday Bob went to the vet so we could help him get rid of his worm prob. The vet also told Jenna that Bobby has allergies, like a human does, and we are supposed to give him Claritin, 5mgs, every morning.

Sumi did a little cheating on the colorless theme, but I don't mind, not at all.

These are photocopies of some of Brian Roettinger's pieces, as the real mccoys are still being framed.

Aaron and Anh were there giving us a hand as well.

Barefoot on the ladder.

There are 100 Hamburger Eyes pieces and I am trying to fit them all in.

Street dogs.

Whenever I moved the ladder, Caramel Bobby was there. He likes to guard me.

I am dying to take all of these home.

So far so good. We have about 24 hours to finish. Remember, the opening is on Sunday at 6pm.

Dallas wrote a children's book, and there is a formal release dance.

Part Time Punks fest was on Sunday.

Camille Idoya Garamendia met me there.

A Future Pigeon and a Softboiled Eggie.

I went home for 3 hours to eat a sandwich and kiss Caramel Bobby, and when I got back Ariel Pink was playing in a blonde wig.

Seth and Jenna learning 'Commando' from The Ramones.

And then Mika Miko closed the show.

A marathon weekend, punch drunk and exhausted.

So there is this new place in Hollywood called Space 1520. It is a gallery space and they have all manner of galleries and artists curating shows there in the near future. It's grand opening is this Sunday, the 23rd of November and Hope Gallery is curating this one, the first.

We are soooo psyched about this show. All works are black and white, so I would recommend wearing black and white attire. Like a theme, you know? However if everyone wears black and white and you wear mint green that would be cool as well and boy will you stand out!

Went over to Bebel's house for David Scott Stone's birthday cake eating. Bebel has fallen on hard times and lives in a box now.

I thought Bobby looked like such a little sweetheart on this couch and then I noticed his little boner.

Hock those pearls Bebel. Get out of the box.

Hi Dan.

Festive lights.

The cake was raw chocolate freakout cake. I could've eaten the whole damn thing.

A cool kid who kept shooting me. Then I left and went to the Roberts and Tilton Gallery for the Matt Leines / Ed Templeton show.

And was greeted by this wonderful beast, Nacho.

The line to get books / get books signed.

In front of me a fan got her pic with her heros.

Yay! Draw in my books!

Getting a fan pic with Aaron.

New Matt Leines is so good.

Major next level Leines.

The Selby and The Cobrasnake at the same time.

Ed's portrait of Mike Mills.

His show is huge and there was too much to take in and the crowd gave me no less than three little panic attacks. Bobby was in my arms, oblivious.

Does Barr ever have a panic attack? Does Lil' Nate?

I think I liked this one the best.

Someone painted this cool dude at The Smell.

Aaron and I went down there early last night.

To watch David Stone do the right thing.

Alley Cats.

Then we went to F House. There was a party there and from outside you could see Sylmar burning.

Aaron Rose takes a piss.

Then Mika Miko played in the living room, chaos punx style.

2:15 AM. Late for me and my 35 year old guts.

But we all made it home, safe and sound.

I had a booth at the Paper Magazine 24 hour store, and up on the roof Estevan Oriol and Mr. Cartoon had a car show going on.

Loves his cars.

I want to drive this one across the country. It has a pink steering wheel.

Under the hood.

Airbrushed thong tug.

Feed champagne to your tits.

It is a lifestyle.

Totally a lifestyle.

Curtis and Justin were up there with me.

I love you, pink car.

Meanwhile, back downstairs, the energy level at hour 23 was hitting a low.

Everyone went so over the top with their booth decor, I decided to keep it minimalist.

This young gentleman scored himself the last remaining Teardrops shirt.

When I left I noticed this wall built around a tree. Cool.

My brother, Patrick deWitt wrote a novel that is to be released in February. Carson Mell made this amazing commercial for it. My other brother, Nick deWitt did the music.

Where can one go if one wants to stick their head in an art bucket?

To Site LA and the latest Sumi Ink Club show, of course.

Bobby and I went after his groomer's appointment. He had a ball, as he always does with Luke and Sara.

Great big pieces that you can sleep in and live in.

Put your head in the bucket!

I got a great new film camera and here is it's first fruit.

The TV Books / Tiny Vices show is excellent. If you missed the opening then come see it sometime in the next few weeks.

And take a gander at our new sign!

"Dude, what's wrong with vaginas"?

"Vaginas are fine."
- David Kramer

Abe Vigoda breezed through town on what appears to be an endless and mildly nightmarish tour.

Gerardo.

A beautiful alien.

Political discussions abound!

Make it back home safe, boy.

Body Politic.

Tonight is the night. 6-9pm at the Hope Gallery. 1547 Echo Park Ave. TV Books release soiree and group show. I've seen it, and it's amazing.
After or before you come to Hope, make sure you go to this incredible Sumi Ink Club show at Site LA -

And then finally, finish your evening off at Killing Spree -

Wowee, huh?

Tim Barber, who lives on our couch this week, is here in LA for a couple of major events.

Major event #1 - Tonight he is having an event for the release of five new TV books at the Family Store. 7pm!

Major event # 2 - Tomorrow night he has curated a massive Tiny Vices group show for Hope Gallery. 6-9pm.

We're so excited we're putting boxes on our heads and shit.
So last night we, Jenna, Caramel Bobby and myself were huddled together on the couch watching Obama's acceptance speech. More cynical people you will rarely meet, and something inside both of us hurt/erupted with some unknown feeling we had never had. And it was decided then, that this feeling had a name - patriotism. Unbelievable.

Went to visit Luke and Sara at their studio to listen to techno and watch them make things for their multiple upcoming shows.

Hopper came with, back from Euro tour with The Sads.

Bobby is getting showered in love. If you get a chance to meet him you will notice he is smiling most of the time.

Two Turkeys Talking Techno.

This piece -

No War.

And then - impromptu ink club meeting.

Did you know you can take dogs to Amoeba? You can. We took him to see The Muslims play there.

And then we took him to see Lucky Dragons and Barr and Mt. Eerie at Site LA. A big night for Bobby!

Lucky Dragons back from world travels.

They make magic, these two.

Oh here is a suprise, a picture of Jenna and Caramel Bobby.

A year at the gym certainly has made Rene lean. What a killer!

It had been a little while since I got to see Barr in it's classic one man lineup.

And he made magic. Night Of Magic.

Where will we take Bobby next?
