I Plan On Writing An Epic Poem About This Pie!

IMG_8259.jpg

Thanksgiving! We woke up early and made, from scratch, punmpkin pies and an apple crisp. They turned out just OK. I need to work on my pastry. We packed up the still hot desserts, and went to Apple and Antons.

Granny is 93. She was an Olympic diver. After dinner she drank a half a glass of wine and had a smoke. She kept trying to get up and dance.

Just read an interview with Leslie Van Houten - when asked why she'd taken part in the Manson massacre she is reported to have shrugged and said, "I don't know. I was feeling culty, I guess."

i'm not talking to anyone until they start referencing the official scrabble player's dictionary.

wow !!!take me to the mat. mike you know who really laid down culty lets get honest......

First instinct was to point out the non-words on Scrabble. Second was to talk pies. Since enough people are on the scrabble tip, I will say this about pies....you gotta work the dough while it's still cold from the fridge. Also make sure your shortning is cold when you add it to your flour/butter mixture. Jesus Christ I've gotten fat lately...

I don't understand why someone didn't take Twon to the mat? Taking someone to the mat is the best part of the game.
On a side note, Mike, Mom saw a bum the other day holding a sign that read, "My father was killed by ninjas and I need money for kung-fu lessons, fast!"

also, my spelling is not part of my argument anyways:D
NOT being serious.....

it's true that gormet is NOT a word. nor is mechnic. they can change the sign, but they can't hide.

fuck culty check out granny .olympic diver from Peru. what have you done with your lives?

Posted by: anton at November 27, 2006 07:48 PM

'Culty' is not in Websters. I believe that Scrabble rules clearly state that a word must be in the dictionary to be fair game.

Also, you misspelled 'waisted'.

Also, you're clearly a dork.

A very serious dork.

you get 800,000 hits for "jogs" on google and 1.6 million for "culty". yet you clearly identify "jogs" as a word whereas "culty" is not. linguistics is descriptive rather than prescreptive. ever heard of language corpora which count, list, and help to establish authentic language material ? or phenomenology? i might just be a supporter of rule-based neologisms instead of plain foolish?

oh and i'm sure you waisted a LOT of time reading "culty is a word", sorry about that. best regards

Anonymous, are you not identifying yourself because deep down you know how foolish you are? Make use of your dusty dictionary and stop wasting our time.

Anton did the paintings, but he also laid down the word in question...

Posted by: cali at November 27, 2006 03:41 PM

culty. you've got to be kidding me. and i see there is already a debate.
who made those paintings?

Posted by: amra at November 27, 2006 03:23 PM

culty is a word.

Posted by: anonymous at November 27, 2006 01:49 PM

I still don't think "culty" is a word. And neither does my mother.
