Dead Moon Night.

They made a haunted house out of the old Bates Motel. It's been shut down for about five years now. It was a bad place when it was open. Crack heads and hookers and ne'er do wells.

There was a huge AA meeting next door to it for years on Thursday nights. One night after the meeting everyone was milling around out front, smoking and talking. From the 4th floor window of the motel a topless transvestite started to tease and make fun of all the AA faithful below. She was swigging from a bottle and hanging out the window and generally being silly and entertaining.

Then she fell out the window.

And died in front of everybody.

The newspaper gave us her name a few days later. Thor Little. After that the Bates finally closed, but it's been sitting there falling apart ever since. They didn't have to do a whole lot of decorating to make it a haunted house. The place is totally cashed.

This band was in one of the rooms playing cover songs. Like one bad 1994 song after another. Bush! Sponge! Oh my god. They were cute though. They looked like they were having fun.

The 'rock garden' room didn't seem so scary.

And I don't know why they named this room 'TV Party'. It just looked like a garbage swirl to me.

They are going to level this joint next month.
